THOUSAND OAKS, CALIF (June 16, 2021) – Thousand Oaks High School students attended one of the most memorable events of their school life – the Prom – thanks to a creative and generous local business. After the official Thousand Oaks High School prom was cancelled due to the pandemic, Janss Marketplace management saved this milestone event for Covid-19 fatigued students.
Janss Marketplace, a shopping center which frequently supports its local community, gave students a FREE prom experience they will remember forever! On Sunday, June 6 Thousand Oaks High School juniors and seniors donned beautiful evening gowns, dress suits and tuxedos to attend Prom Party 2021 at the beautiful open-air center.
“The Prom party was absolutely amazing and nothing short of my expectations, from your community driven organization,” said a parent of a student who attended the event. “All the kids that attended, seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. In fact, several of the participants expressed their gratitude, by thanking the chaperones. That thoughtfulness, seems to solidify your comment about these being a wonderful group of kids.”
The spectacular Prom evening started as attendees enjoyed free dinners served by several Janss Marketplace restaurants including Greco’s, Naru Bento, Ớt Bistro and Sharky’s. During the all complimentary COVID-safe prom evening, a DJ played music for dancing under the stars on a multi-color dance floor. Adjacent activities included posing with friends in the photo booth, playing table games, jumping sessions at DEFY Extreme Sports and prize drawings such as for Regal Cinema movie tickets. Prom attendees received a portrait by a professional photographer as a keepsake of Prom Party 2021.
