The Vice President of Marketing and Technology is responsible for overseeing the implementation, analysis and evolution of both marketing and technology at NewMark Merrill Companies. This will include everything from social outreach through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social/digital networks, to ensuring the deployment of mobile and internet tools to track and measure the effectiveness of our marketing efforts, to helping the marketing team members understand and become proficient in the use of marketing technology related initiatives. In addition, this includes the implementation and execution of both shopping center marketing aimed at assisting our tenants in maximizing their exposure to the communities our centers are in, as well as oversight of our corporate marketing plans, budgets and overall marketing department duties.
As Development Director for the San Diego Division, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day oversight of our retail development activity in the primary market areas of San Diego County, South Orange County and South Riverside County. NewMark Merrill opportunistically seeks large and small-scale ground-up developments, single tenant pad developments, and existing retail center acquisitions that are logical for redevelopment and repositioning. You will ensure that these opportunities are integrated into the portfolio’s operations and that projects will meet the company’s plans, goals and objectives.
At NewMark Merrill Companies our Property Managers have the role of being the head of operations for the centers they oversee. This includes oversight of the physical parts of the center, but just as importantly, you are responsible for getting to know the tenants, identifying what makes the successful tenants successful, and what we can do to assist the less successful. We want you to know the community leaders, engage with our shoppers, and work with marketing, technology, accounting and leasing to make sure we always deliver an environment that we are proud of.
Our Property Managers spend no time on rent collection, and less time on accounting, but much more time in understanding what makes our neighborhoods work and helping to ensure our centers hold a special place in our customers’ hearts.
The Accounts Receivable / Billing Administrator will work closely with our Property Accountants to ensure all tenant charges are properly processed before rent statements are generated. They will also work closely with our Collection Accountants to ensure that all entered payments are correctly applied.
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee all day-to-day financial responsibilities for a designated commercial real estate portfolio of approximately 8-10 properties.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accounting, tracking and reporting of all construction related projects. These responsibilities include assisting with the budgeting process, recording contracts, recording and tracking change orders, explaining variances and assisting accounts payable to pay construction draws and individual and recording payments to track against budget and forecast. Interact with lenders regarding construction draws as appropriate. This position works closely with our VP of Construction and Development to ensure the timely and accurate payment of invoices and tracking of job costs.
At NewMark Merrill Companies our Construction Project Managers manage and execute the due diligence, entitlement, design, permitting, bidding, construction and turn-over process for our shopping center ground-up and remodel developments. The goal of this position is to deliver the developments on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding the expectations of our company and our tenants.
