Lance Taylor

Reaching for new heights has been a lifelong pursuit for Lance Taylor. In fact, he’s currently in the process of tackling the 50 highest peaks in the US, with nine key climbs already under his belt. This deep-rooted drive to succeed is also what led him to join the Newmark Merrill team. As the new VP of Acquisitions & Development for the growing Mountain States division, he is thrilled to be surrounded by like-minded professionals who thrive on a good challenge.

Lance has an impressive history of experience in acquisitions and development. Most recently he served as Principal of Real Estate Investments and Development for SL Taylor Investments LLC, where he managed market analysis, acquisitions, divestitures, real estate financing, legal contract negotiation and more. Prior to that, he served as a director at EB Arrow where he spearheaded the $70,000,000 renovation of Burbank Town Center, which included pursuing California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) approval to convert a vacant IKEA to 1,100 new residential units. He’s also held various roles with Deutsche Bank Asset & Wealth Management, Jones Lang LaSalle, Stream Realty Partners where he led acquisitions, asset management and development and Goldman Sachs where he developed over 1,500,000 square feet of power centers

A tried and true native Texan, Lance earned a B.B.A. in Marketing from University of Texas, and to this day remains a loyal “Hook ’em HornsLonghorns fan. Not surprisingly, Tex-Mex is his food of choice, and he loves the tunes of Waylon Jennings— especially Good Hearted Woman.

In his free time, Lance enjoys reading, watching old movies, skydiving with his wife Sandra, exploring historical sites with his daughter Amelia, trying to keep up with his stepdaughter Jordan’s ability to eat the hottest green chili’s she can and running (that’s on top of his hiking challenge!).  Lance looks forward to rolling up his sleeves in his new role at NewMark Merrill. When asked what gives him motivation to do what he does, he said, “My faith in the Lord and watching how a close family member battled Leukemia at age 7 and never complained —once.”
