The people at NewMark Merrill are key to the company’s success and Lisa Polis is at the heart of this vital priority. Maya Angelou once said, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Crafting and influencing the way employees feel on a day-to-day basis is Lisa’s most important consideration. Bringing previous experiences at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Laurel Hall School with her, Lisa handles everything human resources at NewMark Merrill.
Lisa’s approach to work and life was shaped by a mother who had never-ending perseverance and a remarkable work ethic. She seeks to make a positive impact on everyone with whom she interacts and thrives on getting out into the field to make a heart-warming community impact alongside fellow employees.
Her hometown of Hauppauge, NY (she’ll pay you $1 for a first-time correct pronunciation), led her to Binghamton University where she earned a BA in Political Science and Economic Issues. She is the proud mother of a daughter (24) and two boys (21 and twins) and considers raising them her biggest, best and most joyful accomplishment in life.
Lisa’s a fierce Scrabble competitor, an avid fiction reader and she MUST have lasagne for her annual birthday dinner.
